If you can imagine those cool crisp mornings just after sunrise when the rays shine off the fall foliage, the morning breeze whispers among the leaves and the landscape looks as if it is bursting with color, then you can imagine Grahams Farm.

Grahams Farm is a contiguous 1470 acre tract in Patrick County Virginia. Patrick is on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains, adjoining the Parkway, half way between Roanoke Virginia and Winston Salem North Carolina. It is an area renowned for its beautiful scenery and abundant sources of clean water from its mountain streams.  Patrick County is the source for four major rivers; the Smith, the Dan, the Mayo and the Ararat.  The quiet and peaceful life, the many local attractions and amenities, ( such as wineries near the Parkway,  summer music festivals,  trout fishing in Kibler Valley) along with abundant forests, wildlife, and mountain scenery make it an ideal location for vacations, recreation and retirement. The land borders Fairystone Farms, a 5400 acre State Game Commission hunting preserve, and is surrounded by thousands of acres of sparsely populated land. The property has been virtually uninhabited for almost a century and has reverted to a forested wilderness. However, it enjoys good access due to the presence of numerous logging roads and wagon trails. The topography varies from level to steep and consists of a series of long north to south ridges broken up by valleys with bold streams. The timber is a mix of red and white oak, pine and poplar.

Grahams Farm is well stocked with whitetail deer, wild turkey and some ruffed grouse, as well as numerous black bears. There is a 90 acre tract set aside to improve habitat for grouse and quail. There are also a number of non game species including coyote and cougar. Improving wildlife habitat is the main goal for Grahams Farm and there is a continuous process of selective logging and land clearing to establish feeding plots and cover.
